Dr. Stephen B. Levitt
Dr. Stephen B. Levitt earned his undergraduate degree from the Ohio State University. He then went out of the country for medical school, and attended the University of Autonoma De Guadalajara. Dr. Levitt came back to Ohio to complete his internship in medicine at Toledo Hospital, and his residency in dermatology at the University of Cincinnati, where he earned Chief Resident status.
Dr. Stephen Levitt is a member of many professional medical organizations, including the American Academy of Dermatology, American Medical Association, Dayton Society of Internal Medicine, Montgomery County Medical Society, Ohio Dermatological Association, Ohio Society for Dermatologic Surgery and Ohio State Medical Association. He has also been an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Wright State University School of Medicine for 30 years.
Dr. Thomas G. OlsenDr. Thomas G. Olsen is a Board Certified Dermatologist and Dermatopathologist. He is certified by the American Board of Dermatology, and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Olsen obtained both his undergraduate and medical degrees from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. He completed his internship and residency in medicine at St. Vincent Hospital, and his residency in dermatology from the University of Cincinnati.
Dr. Thomas Olsen has been an active member of dermatologic and dermathopathologic societies for years. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, American Society of Dermatopathology, Central Ohio Dermatological Society, Cincinnati Dermatology Society, Dayton Society of Internal Medicine, Dermatology Foundation, Midwestern Congress of Dermatological Societies, Ohio Dermatological Association, Ohio State Medical Association, and the Ohio Valley Dermatological Society. Dr. Olsen served as President of the Ohio Dermatological Association and as a member of the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Rafael A. Perez-FigaredoDr. Rafael A. Perez-Figaredo is a Board Certified Dermatologist. He is certified by the American Board of Dermatology, and a member of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Perez-Figaredo is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Dr. Perez-Figaredo received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Puerto Rico. He then left Puerto Rico and relocated to Texas, where he completed his internship in medical rotating at the Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center. After a stay in Texas, Dr. Perez-Figaredo moved on to Boston, Massachusetts for his residency in dermatology at the Harvard Medical School. In addition to his education, Dr. Perez-Figaredo served over 20 years with the United States Air Force. While in the Air Force, he earned AF Meritorious Service Medal Second Oak Leaf Cluster, and was a consultant to the USAF Surgeon General.
Dr. Perez-Figaredo is an active member of many professional organizations, including the American Medical Association, Dermatology Foundation, Military Dermatology Association, Montgomery County Medical Society, and Ohio State Medical Association. He is also very active in dermatologic research, publication and lecture contributions.
Dr. John C. LepageDr. John C. Lepage is Board Certified Dermatologist. He is certified by the American Board of Dermatology, and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Lepage earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Vermont, and went on to obtain his medical school degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine. Dr. Lepage then completed his internship in internal medicine/pediatrics at the USAF Medical Center Keesler, and his residency in dermatology at the Boston University Medical Center. Following his education, Dr. Lepage served in the military for seven years as a Lieutenant Colonel and Staff Dermatologist in the United States Air Force.
Dr. John Lepage belongs to many professional medical organizations, including the American Medical Association, Association of Military Dermatologists, Montgomery County Medical Society, Ohio Dermatological Association, Ohio Medical Education & Research Foundation, and Ohio State Medical Association. He has also received numerous academic appointments, with the most recent being Assistant Clinical Professor at the Ohio State University College of Medicine.
Dr. Phillip K. HallDr. Phillip K. Hall is a Board Certified Dermatologist. He is certified by the American Board of Dermatology, and is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Hall earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees from George Mason University. While there, he was elected to the Beta Beta Beta Biological Honor Society, and served as the organization’s vice president for two years. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia, where he was ranked in the top one-tenth of his class. Dr. Hall started his postdoctoral training with an internship in internal medicine at the Medical College of Virginia. He then went on to complete his residency in dermatology at the same institution, and moved on to a fellowship in Mohs’ Micrographic and Dermatologic Surgery at the Louisiana State University Department of Dermatology.
Dr. Phillip Hall is very active in the dermatologic field. He belongs to numerous professional societies and organizations, including the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Ohio Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Ohio Dermatological Association, American College of Mohs’ Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology, Ohio State Medical Association, Montgomery County Medical Society, American Academy of Dermatology, Alpha Omega Medical Honor Society, and American Medical Association. In addition, he is also a Clinical Associate Professor of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery at the Wright State University School of Medicine..
Dr. Robert A. Palacio
Dr. Palacio received his undergraduate degree from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois. He then moved on to medical school at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Dr. Palacio came back to the United States for his pediatric internship at the University of Southern California Medical Center, but traveled back to the University of Puerto Rico at San Juan City Hospital for his dermatology residency. After his training, he finally relocated back to the United States.
In addition to his membership with the American Academy of Dermatology, he also belongs to the Puerto Rico Society of Dermatology, Santa Barbara County Medical Society, Ohio State Medical Association and Montgomery County Medical Society.
Dr. Palacio is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Dr. Mark E. FensterDr. Mark E. Fenster is a Board Certified Dermatologist. He is certified by the American Board of Dermatology, and is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Fenster earned his undergraduate degree from the University of New Hampshire, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He then went on to complete his medical school education and residency in dermatology at the Medical College of Virginia.
Dr. Fenster is very involved in the dermatologic community. He has professional memberships with the American Medical Association, American Society for Mohs’ Surgery, Montgomery County Medical Society, Ohio Dermatological Association, Ohio State Medical Association, and the Ohio Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Inc.
Dr. Mary E. BaneDr. Mary E. Bane is a Board Certified Dermatologist. She is certified by The American Board of Dermatology, and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Bane received her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois. She attended medical school at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and the University of Texas. Upon graduation, Dr. Bane completed an internal medicine internship at the Wilford Hall Medical Center, and later completed her dermatology residency at the Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas.
Following her education, Dr. Bane served 12 years as an officer, staff physician, and dermatologist in the United States Air Force. During her time in the Air Force, Dr. Bane earned the Air Force Achievement Medal, Air Force Medal of Accommendation and the Officer of the Quarter Award.
Dr. Mary Bane is extremely involved in the dermatologic community. She has professional society memberships with the American Medical Association, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Association of Military Dermatologists, Montgomery County Medical Society, Ohio Dermatological Association, Ohio State Medical Association, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society.
Dr. Matthew A. BakosDr. Matthew A. Bakos is a Board Certified Dermatologist. He is certified by The American Board of Dermatology, and an active member in the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Bakos earned his undergraduate degree from Wright State University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. Upon graduation, Dr. Bakos went on to medical school at the Wright State University School of Medicine. At WSUSM, he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honorary Society, and earned the Hugh W. Crouse, II and Morrison Scholarships. Dr. Bakos then completed his residency training in Dermatology at Kettering Medical Center and Wright State University.
Dr. Bakos can be seen in many areas of the dermatology field. In addition to his membership with the AAOD, ASDS and ASLMS he is also active in the Ohio Dermatological Association, Ohio Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Inc., Montgomery County Medical Society, American Medical Association, and the Women’s Dermatological Society. Dr. Bakos has also been featured in many publications and presentations on dermatology.
Dr. Bruce Alan BrumfielDr. Bruce Alan Brumfiel is a Board Certified Dermatologist. He is certified by the American Board of Dermatology, and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Brumfiel received his undergraduate degree from the University of Dayton, and earned his medical degree at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Brumfiel then completed his Internal Medicine Internship at Montefiore Hospital, and residencies in Internal Medicine and Dermatology at Kettering Memorial Hospital and the Naval Regional Medical Center, respectively.
Following his education, Dr. Brumfiel served 14 years in the United States Naval Reserve as a Lieutenant Commander and Staff Medical Officer. During his time with the USNR, Dr. Brumfiel earned many distinctions, including the Vietnam Service Medal and Combat Action Ribbon.
Dr. Brumfiel is very active in his dermatologic and local communities. He is a member of the American Medical Association, Ohio State Medical Association, Ohio Dermatologic Association, Montgomery County Medical Society, and the Greene County Medical Society. In his community, Dr. Brumfiel is on the Board of Trustees for the Good Shepherd Clinic, Inc. and is a past president of the Rotary Club of Beavercreek, Ohio.
Dr. Shannon Michelle Novosad VermaDr. Shannon Michelle Novosad Verma is a Board Certified Dermatologist. She is certified by the American Board of Dermatology, and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Verma earned her undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She then went on to medical school at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Following medical school, Dr. Verma went to Kettering Medical Center for her medical internship, and completed her residency in dermatology at Wright State University.
Dr. Shannon Michelle Novosad Verma is a member of many honorary and professional societies, including Alpha Omega Alpha, the American Medical Association, Ohio Dermatological Association and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Verma is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology at the Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University. She is also extremely active in dermatologic publications, research, and presentations.
Dr. Michael R. Murchland
Dr. Michael Murchland is a Board Certified Dermatologist and Dermatopathologist. He is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and American Board of Dermatology and American Board of Pathology. Dr. Murchland is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and American Society of Dermatopathology.
Dr. Murchland received his undergraduate degree from the United States Air Force Academy, and earned his medical degree at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Dr. Murchland then completed his Internship at Malcolm Grow Medical Center, and residency at Wilford Hall & Brooke Army Medical Center.
Prior to joining DSWO, Dr. Murchland was the Chief of Dermatology at San Antonio Military Medical Center. Dr. Murchland has been an active member of dermatologic and dermathopathologic societies for years. Prior to moving to Dayton he was a member of the Texas Medical Association, American College of Physician Executives, Texas Dermatological Society, San Antonio Dermatologic Society and San Antonio Dermatopathology Society.
Dr. Brian W. Russ
Dr. Russ is a board certified Dermatologists. He is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology.
He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, and earned his medical degree at Medical College of Ohio. Dr. Russ then completed two residencies. He completed his family practice residency at R.L. Thompson Strategic Hospital. He then completed his dermatology residency at San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium. Dr. Russ is a member of the Association of Military Dermatologists, a fellow in the American Medical Association and a Fellow in the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Rocco T. Serrao
Dr. Serrao is a board certified Dermatologists. He is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Serrao recently completed his residency at Wright State where he served as the Chief Resident. Dr. Serrao served as the chief resident at WSU. Prior to his residency Dr. Serrao completed his internship at Kettering Medical Center. He received his Medical Degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Serrao is a native of Pittsburgh and a diehard Steelers and Penguins fan. Dr. Serrao is also a clinical professor at Wright State University.
Jennifer Phillips, APRN is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a Certified Dermatology Nurse. Jennifer was born in Dayton , Ohio and moved with her family to upstate New York during her adolescent years. She received her Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Elmira College in the Finger Lakes area of New York State . Upon graduating with honors, she immediately went to work as a Critical Care Registered Nurse in Albany , New York . Ms. Phillips returned to the Dayton area in 1999 to attend Wright State University for her Master's Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. During that time she also worked as a Coronary Intensive Care Nurse at Miami Valley Hospital . She is an active member of various advanced practice organizations for family practice as well as dermatology. In addition, Jennifer is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Good Shepherd Clinic.
