Dr. Stephen B. Levitt
Dr. Stephen B. Levitt earned his undergraduate degree from the Ohio State University. He then went out of the country for medical school, and attended the University of Autonoma De Guadalajara. Dr. Levitt came back to Ohio to complete his internship in medicine at Toledo Hospital, and his residency in dermatology at the University of Cincinnati, where he earned Chief Resident status.
Dr. Stephen Levitt is a member of many professional medical organizations, including the American Academy of Dermatology, American Medical Association, Dayton Society of Internal Medicine, Montgomery County Medical Society, Ohio Dermatological Association, Ohio Society for Dermatologic Surgery and Ohio State Medical Association. He has also been an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Wright State University School of Medicine for 30 years.

Dr. Thomas G. Olsen
Dr. Thomas G. Olsen is a Board Certified Dermatologist and Dermatopathologist. He is certified by the American Board of Dermatology, and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology.

Dr. Olsen obtained both his undergraduate and medical degrees from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. He completed his internship and residency in medicine at St. Vincent Hospital, and his residency in dermatology from the University of Cincinnati.

Dr. Thomas Olsen has been an active member of dermatologic and dermathopathologic societies for years. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, American Society of Dermatopathology, Central Ohio Dermatological Society, Cincinnati Dermatology Society, Dayton Society of Internal Medicine, Dermatology Foundation, Midwestern Congress of Dermatological Societies, Ohio Dermatological Association, Ohio State Medical Association, and the Ohio Valley Dermatological Society. Dr. Olsen served as President of the Ohio Dermatological Association and as a member of the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Dermatology.

Dr. Rafael A. Perez-Figaredo
Dr. Rafael A. Perez-Figaredo is a Board Certified Dermatologist. He is certified by the American Board of Dermatology, and a member of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Perez-Figaredo is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Dr. Perez-Figaredo received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Puerto Rico. He then left Puerto Rico and relocated to Texas, where he completed his internship in medical rotating at the Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center. After a stay in Texas, Dr. Perez-Figaredo moved on to Boston, Massachusetts for his residency in dermatology at the Harvard Medical School. In addition to his education, Dr. Perez-Figaredo served over 20 years with the United States Air Force. While in the Air Force, he earned AF Meritorious Service Medal Second Oak Leaf Cluster, and was a consultant to the USAF Surgeon General.

Dr. Perez-Figaredo is an active member of many professional organizations, including the American Medical Association, Dermatology Foundation, Military Dermatology Association, Montgomery County Medical Society, and Ohio State Medical Association. He is also very active in dermatologic research, publication and lecture contributions.

Dr. John C. Lepage
Dr. John C. Lepage is Board Certified Dermatologist. He is certified by the American Board of Dermatology, and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology.

Dr. Lepage earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Vermont, and went on to obtain his medical school degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine. Dr. Lepage then completed his internship in internal medicine/pediatrics at the USAF Medical Center Keesler, and his residency in dermatology at the Boston University Medical Center. Following his education, Dr. Lepage served in the military for seven years as a Lieutenant Colonel and Staff Dermatologist in the United States Air Force.

Dr. John Lepage belongs to many professional medical organizations, including the American Medical Association, Association of Military Dermatologists, Montgomery County Medical Society, Ohio Dermatological Association, Ohio Medical Education & Research Foundation, and Ohio State Medical Association. He has also received numerous academic appointments, with the most recent being Assistant Clinical Professor at the Ohio State University College of Medicine.

Dr. Phillip K. Hall
Phillip K. Hall, M.D. is a Board Certified Dermatologist and is a Fellow of both the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) and the American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS).

Dr. Hall earned his undergraduate degree in Biology and graduate degree in Molecular, Microbial, and Cellular Biology from George Mason University. While at George Mason University, he excelled academically and was inducted into the Biological Honor Society. Dr. Hall worked as a cellular and molecular biologist and research scientist in a private research laboratory in Northern Virginia while completing his graduate work.

Dr. Hall received his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia, where he received awards and scholarships for academic excellence and scientific writing and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. During his education at the Medical College of Virginia, Dr. Hall did research in the field of cutaneous oncology. He subsequently received his internship in Internal Medicine and residency in Dermatology training at the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Hall was selected to serve as Chief Resident in Dermatology during his dermatology residency.

Dr. Hall then completed a Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology Fellowship at Louisiana State University where he received intensive and concentrated training in cutaneous oncology, the removal of cutaneous malignancies, facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, dermatopathology and cosmetic and laser dermatologic surgery. As an ACMS fellowship trained Mohs Surgeon and cutaneous oncologist, Dr Hall can provide or recommend the most comprehensive and thorough treatment for cutaneous malignancies of all types. He has served as surgeon to well over 50,000 patients to date.

Dr. Hall is active not only in private practice but also academically. He has authored or co-authored academic articles and chapters in textbooks and has been a speaker at numerous local, state and national meetings. He belongs to numerous professional societies and organizations, including the American Academy of Dermatology, the American College of Mohs Surgery, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the Ohio Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the Ohio Dermatological Association, the Ohio State Medical Association, the Montgomery County Medical Society, the American Medical Association, and the Alpha Omega Medical Honor Society.

Dr. Hall is also a Clinical Associate Professor of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery at the Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University and very much enjoys spending time instructing resident physicians and medical students.

Dr. Robert A. Palacio
Dr. Palacio received his undergraduate degree from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois. He then moved on to medical school at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Dr. Palacio came back to the United States for his pediatric internship at the University of Southern California Medical Center, but traveled back to the University of Puerto Rico at San Juan City Hospital for his dermatology residency. After his training, he finally relocated back to the United States.

In addition to his membership with the American Academy of Dermatology, he also belongs to the Puerto Rico Society of Dermatology, Santa Barbara County Medical Society, Ohio State Medical Association and Montgomery County Medical Society.

Dr. Palacio is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Dr. Mark E. Fenster
Dr. Mark E. Fenster is a Board Certified Dermatologist. He is certified by the American Board of Dermatology, and is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology.

Dr. Fenster earned his undergraduate degree from the University of New Hampshire, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He then went on to complete his medical school education and residency in dermatology at the Medical College of Virginia.

Dr. Fenster is very involved in the dermatologic community. He has professional memberships with the American Medical Association, American Society for Mohs’ Surgery, Montgomery County Medical Society, Ohio Dermatological Association, Ohio State Medical Association, and the Ohio Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Inc.

Dr. Mary E. Bane
Dr. Mary E. Bane is a Board Certified Dermatologist. She is certified by The American Board of Dermatology, and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology.

Dr. Bane received her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois. She attended medical school at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and the University of Texas. Upon graduation, Dr. Bane completed an internal medicine internship at the Wilford Hall Medical Center, and later completed her dermatology residency at the Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas.

Following her education, Dr. Bane served 12 years as an officer, staff physician, and dermatologist in the United States Air Force. During her time in the Air Force, Dr. Bane earned the Air Force Achievement Medal, Air Force Medal of Accommendation and the Officer of the Quarter Award.

Dr. Mary Bane is extremely involved in the dermatologic community. She has professional society memberships with the American Medical Association, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Association of Military Dermatologists, Montgomery County Medical Society, Ohio Dermatological Association, Ohio State Medical Association, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society.

Dr. Bruce Alan Brumfiel
Dr. Bruce Alan Brumfiel is a Board Certified Dermatologist. He is certified by the American Board of Dermatology, and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology.

Dr. Brumfiel received his undergraduate degree from the University of Dayton, and earned his medical degree at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Brumfiel then completed his Internal Medicine Internship at Montefiore Hospital, and residencies in Internal Medicine and Dermatology at Kettering Memorial Hospital and the Naval Regional Medical Center, respectively.

Following his education, Dr. Brumfiel served 14 years in the United States Naval Reserve as a Lieutenant Commander and Staff Medical Officer. During his time with the USNR, Dr. Brumfiel earned many distinctions, including the Vietnam Service Medal and Combat Action Ribbon.

Dr. Brumfiel is very active in his dermatologic and local communities. He is a member of the American Medical Association, Ohio State Medical Association, Ohio Dermatologic Association, Montgomery County Medical Society, and the Greene County Medical Society. In his community, Dr. Brumfiel is on the Board of Trustees for the Good Shepherd Clinic, Inc. and is a past president of the Rotary Club of Beavercreek, Ohio.

Dr. Matthew A. Bakos
Dr. Matthew A. Bakos is a Board Certified Dermatologist. He is certified by The American Board of Dermatology, and an active member in the American Academy of Dermatology.

Dr. Bakos earned his undergraduate degree from Wright State University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. Upon graduation, Dr. Bakos went on to medical school at the Wright State University School of Medicine. At WSUSM, he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honorary Society, and earned the Hugh W. Crouse, II and Morrison Scholarships. Dr. Bakos then completed his residency training in Dermatology at Kettering Medical Center and Wright State University.

Dr. Bakos can be seen in many areas of the dermatology field. In addition to his membership with the AAOD, ASDS and ASLMS he is also active in the Ohio Dermatological Association, Ohio Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Inc., Montgomery County Medical Society, American Medical Association, and the Women’s Dermatological Society. Dr. Bakos has also been featured in many publications and presentations on dermatology.

Dr. Shannon Michelle Novosad Verma
Dr. Shannon Michelle Novosad Verma is a Board Certified Dermatologist. She is certified by the American Board of Dermatology, and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology.

Dr. Verma earned her undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She then went on to medical school at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Following medical school, Dr. Verma went to Kettering Medical Center for her medical internship, and completed her residency in dermatology at Wright State University.

Dr. Shannon Michelle Novosad Verma is a member of many honorary and professional societies, including Alpha Omega Alpha, the American Medical Association, Ohio Dermatological Association and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Verma is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology at the Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University. She is also extremely active in dermatologic publications, research, and presentations.

Dr. Michael R. Murchland
Dr. Michael Murchland is a Board Certified Dermatologist and Dermatopathologist. He is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and American Board of Dermatology and American Board of Pathology. Dr. Murchland is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and American Society of Dermatopathology.

Dr. Murchland received his undergraduate degree from the United States Air Force Academy, and earned his medical degree at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Dr. Murchland then completed his Internship at Malcolm Grow Medical Center, and residency at Wilford Hall & Brooke Army Medical Center.

Prior to joining DSWO, Dr. Murchland was the Chief of Dermatology at San Antonio Military Medical Center. Dr. Murchland has been an active member of dermatologic and dermathopathologic societies for years. Prior to moving to Dayton he was a member of the Texas Medical Association, American College of Physician Executives, Texas Dermatological Society, San Antonio Dermatologic Society and San Antonio Dermatopathology Society.

Dr. Brian W. Russ
Dr. Russ is a board certified Dermatologists. He is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology.

He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, and earned his medical degree at Medical College of Ohio. Dr. Russ then completed two residencies. He completed his family practice residency at R.L. Thompson Strategic Hospital. He then completed his dermatology residency at San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium. Dr. Russ is a member of the Association of Military Dermatologists, a fellow in the American Medical Association and a Fellow in the American Academy of Dermatology.

Dr. Rocco T. Serrao
Dr. Serrao is a board certified Dermatologists. He is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology.

Dr. Serrao recently completed his residency at Wright State where he served as the Chief Resident. Dr. Serrao served as the chief resident at WSU. Prior to his residency Dr. Serrao completed his internship at Kettering Medical Center. He received his Medical Degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Serrao is a native of Pittsburgh and a diehard Steelers and Penguins fan. Dr. Serrao is also a clinical professor at Wright State University.

E. Brent Kirkland, M.D.

E. Brent Kirkland, M.D. graduated summa cum laude from The University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio. He then received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. While at Case Western, Dr. Kirkland trained at University Hospitals, MetroHealth Hospital, and the world-renown Cleveland Clinic. He graduated at the top of his class and was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society, which is the highest academic honor in medical school.

Following his internship, Dr. Kirkland completed his residency training at one of the country’s premier dermatology residency programs — Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. While at Stanford, Dr. Kirkland worked with leading experts in skin disease and cutaneous oncology. He also served as Chief Resident during his time at Stanford.

After his residency, Dr. Kirkland completed fellowship training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery, Cutaneous Oncology, and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the nation’s most competitive fellowship program in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His fellowship was directed by both John Zitelli, M.D. and David Brodland, M.D. Dr. Brodland and Dr. Zitelli are widely considered to be the nation’s best Mohs surgeons. This Procedural Dermatology fellowship is certified by both the American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS) and the American Medical Association’s Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).

As an ACMS and ACGME Fellowship Trained Mohs Surgeon, Dr. Kirkland provides the highest quality care in treating skin cancers of all types. He performed over 2500 surgeries in his fellowship alone. Dr. Kirkland has authored numerous scientific articles on cutaneous oncology, laser surgery, and cosmetic dermatology and has been a speaker/presenter at national meetings.

Dr. Kirkland is Board Certified in Dermatology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. He also remains an active member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.

Jennifer Phillips, APRN
Jennifer Phillips is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a Certified Dermatology Nurse. Jennifer was born in Dayton , Ohio and moved with her family to upstate New York during her adolescent years. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Elmira College in the Finger Lakes area of New York State . Upon graduating with honors, she immediately went to work as a Critical Care Registered Nurse in Albany , New York . Ms. Phillips returned to the Dayton area in 1999 to attend Wright State University for her Master’s Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. During that time she also worked as a Coronary Intensive Care Nurse at Miami Valley Hospital . She is an active member of various advanced practice organizations for family practice as well as dermatology. In addition, Jennifer is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Good Shepherd Clinic.

Sasha J Haberle, M.D.

Sasha Jenkins Haberle, M.D., M.P.H graduated Phi Beta Kappa and with highest distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She then received her medical degree and masters in public health from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine at Chapel Hill. Graduating at the top of her class, Dr. Haberle was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society, which is the highest academic honor in medical school.

Dr. Haberle completed her internship at Intermountain hospital in Salt Lake City, UT. She completed her residency training at Emory University School of Medicine, serving as the Chief Resident during her final year. During her time as a resident, she received the ASDS resident scholarship award and worked with leading experts in both cutaneous and transplant oncology.

After her residency she went on to receive sub-specialty training and completed her fellowship training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery, Cutaneous Oncology, and Reconstructive Surgery at Emory University Department of Dermatology. This Procedural Dermatology fellowship is certified both by the American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS) and the American Medical Association’s Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). During her training Dr. Haberle performed thousands of dermatologic surgeries.

She has authored numerous scientific articles and textbook chapters, spoken at national meetings and served on numerous committees. Dr. Haberle is Board Certified in Dermatology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, Women’s Dermatologic Society, Pediatric Dermatology, Ohio Dermatological Association, Academy of Medicine of Cincinnati, and Alpha Omega Alpha National Honor Society.

In her free time, Dr. Haberle enjoys spending time with her golden retriever Chloe and husband, Sinisa, a pediatric and interventional radiology fellow at Cincinnati Childrens. She enjoys playing tennis, swimming, road biking, cooking, and traveling.

Paul Lucky, M.D.

Paul Lucky, MD is a clinical dermatologist. He is interested in routine as well as complex dermatological problems.

Dr. Lucky graduated summa cum laude with Highest Honors in Biology from Kenyon College, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He completed medical school at Yale University and was selected for Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical honor society. Dr. Lucky is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Dermatology. His Internal Medicine residency was at Yale University and the University of Chicago and his Dermatology training at Yale University, where he was chief resident. He also spent 2 years doing research at the National Institutes of Health. Prior to entering private practice Dr. Lucky was on the faculties of Northwestern University Medical School, Yale University School of Medicine and the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.

Dr. Lucky is married to Anne Lucky, MD, a Pediatric Dermatologist. They have 2 daughters and 3 grandchildren. Dr. Lucky enjoys vigorous physical activities, travel and grows orchids.

Anne Lucky, M.D.

Dr. Anne Lucky is a pediatric dermatologist who is currently working at both Cincinnati Children’s and in private practice. She obtained her medical degree from the Yale University School of Medicine. She has a long academic career in laboratory and clinical practice with over 200 peer reviewed publications, as well as many reviews, book chapters, and national and international invited lectures.

She is the director of the Epidermolysis Bullosa Center and a founding member of the Hemangioma and Vascular Malformation Center. She holds board certification in pediatric dermatology, pediatrics, pediatric endocrinology and dermatology and has served as the president of the Society for Pediatric Dermatology and the American Board of Dermatology. She is active in the Hemangioma Investigator Group (HIG) which a multi-institutional research consortium to provide quality data on the safety and effectiveness of the novel application of therapeutics in infantile hemangiomas. Dr. Lucky’s specialties include all aspects of pediatric dermatology.

Drore Eisen, M.D, D.D.S

Drore Eisen, M.D, D.D.S is a dual trained dermatologist and dentist. In addition to caring for patients with general dermatologic conditions, he has expertise in diagnosing and treating patients with diseases of the mouth. He graduated from Columbia University with a major in math, and he received his dental and medical training from the Medical College of Virginia where he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical honor society, and the Sigma Zeta Honorary Science Society. Dr. Eisen completed his residency training at the University of Michigan where he was selected as the chief resident. He is Board Certified in Dermatology and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology.

Dr. Eisen has coauthored 2 textbooks as well as several chapters in textbooks, and over 50 articles on dermatologic and oral diseases. He is an invited and featured speaker at numerous major medical and dental conferences and has been a visiting lecturer at many universities, both nationally and internationally. His contributions to the clinical practice of dermatology were recognized by the Mayo Clinic which presented him with the prestigious Harold O. Perry Lecture Award. Dr. Eisen has participated in many clinical research trials and has collaborated on oral cancer research projects with The National Cancer Institute. He has been listed as a “Top Doctor” in Dermatology in Cincinnati Magazine every year since 1997.

Shannon M. Groves, MMS, PA-C

Shannon M. Groves, MMS, PA-C is a board certified physician assistant. She graduated from Miami University with a bachelor’s degree in Zoology and a minor in French. She attended Midwestern University and graduated with a Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies. Shannon has been practicing dermatology in the Chicago area and Cincinnati since 2008. She sees patients of all ages and has an interest in the identification of skin malignancies. Shannon is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.

Shannon lives in the Cincinnati suburbs with her husband, two children and her dog. She enjoys downhill skiing and playing live trivia. Shannon also likes to root on the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals.

Dr. Leigh Ann Pansch
Leigh Ann Pansch, MSN, FNP-BC is a nurse practitioner working with Dr. Drore Eisen, Dr. Paul Lucky, and Dr. Anne Lucky at their Montgomery and Anderson offices.  She has been practicing dermatology for six years and has prior experience in general and pediatric dermatology. She specializes in the following disorders:  acne, atopic dermatitis/eczema, psoriasis, alopecia, molluscum, warts, moles and sun safety.  She is currently accepting new patients.

Dr. Kathryn Balazs
Dr. Kathryn Balazs studied at Ohio University, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in English. She accomplished her post-graduate studies at the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine (OUCOM), graduating in 1996. She then completed a one-year general internship and a three-year residency in dermatology at Grandview Hospital and Medical Center, during which time she won the Koprince Award for outstanding presentation at the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology (AOCD) national convention. Her professional memberships include the American Osteopathic Association, AOCD,American Academy of Dermatology, Ohio Osteopathic Association, Ohio State Medical Association, Montgomery and Greene County Medical Societies, and the Dayton District Academy of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Balazs is a Clinical Assistant Professor at OUCOM and Wright State University School of Medicine. She and her husband have one daughter and one son.
